Freedom Church offers a number of classes throughout the year to help you grow in your relationship with God and receive practical help on topics like marriage, parenting, and finances.
Foundations
Our Foundations Class is a great place to begin to explore the Christian faith and its central figure, Jesus Christ, to understand our church’s statement of faith, or to gain a better understanding of many of the major themes of the Bible. This class meets Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm upstairs in First Baptist Church of Philadelphia, located at the corner of Sansom and 17th St. Each class will last approximately one hour and thirty minutes, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Each class is eight weeks, and runs many times throughout the year. You do not need to sign up for this class, just show up! Dress is casual. The next session is scheduled to begin on January 22.
Growing Kids God’s Way
If you are a parent, you’ve probably wished at one time or another that your child came with an instruction manual. We don’t exactly have that, but we do offer an extensive 17-week parenting course titled “Growing Kids God’s Way”. In this course, biblical principles for raising children are thoroughly discussed and applied for children of all ages. Each session will consist of watching a DVD together, followed by a group discussion. There is a nominal fee to purchase a workbook, and participants are asked to chip-in for childcare costs if they plan to bring their children with them. This class meets on Sundays from 4:00 – 6:00pm at First Baptist Church of Philadelphia located at Sansom and 17th St. The next class is scheduled to begin on January 22.
Financial Peace University
In this very practical class taught by nationally known finance expert Dave Ramsey (via DVD), you will gain a new perspective on personal finances, come up with a practical plan to get free from debt, and start the journey toward financial freedom. This course and the necessary materials cost $100. Stay tuned for details on our next session.
