The Story of the Bible (Part 1)

This is the second message in a series titled “Words to Live By,” in which we are learning to read the Bible so that we might better understand the living God who wants to speak to us. The Bible is a lengthy work with individual books that were written across many centuries and in a variety of genres. For those not familiar with the message of the Bible, tackling the entirety of its contents can feel like a daunting task. In this message and the following, we look at the drama of the biblical story in six acts: creation, sin, Israel, Jesus, the church, and new creation. We cover the first three acts in this message.

  1. From Adam to Abraham; people were very simple and honest but had no holy book. So did not know who is the Divine power and His purpose to humanity.
    At Moses time, things were uncover very fast through God’s Words. Just as Jesus says , “The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.” Luke 12:2.
    We are living in 2oth Century, and we read so many places a warning message in Bible, “Do not worship other gods” “Dot not serve false gods”. If we do not understand that than we are very misfortune generation.
