This is the second message in a series titled “Words to Live By,” in which we are learning to read the Bible so that we might better understand the living God who wants to speak to us. The Bible is a lengthy work with individual books that were written across many centuries and in a variety of genres. For those not familiar with the message of the Bible, tackling the entirety of its contents can feel like a daunting task. In this message and the following, we look at the drama of the biblical story in six acts: creation, sin, Israel, Jesus, the church, and new creation. We cover the first three acts in this message.
